Galette Kind Of Gal

Last month I spent a week out at my parent's lakehouse. And while I love R&R as much as the next girl, after a few days, I tend to get a little bored. I got into a baking mood and had it in my mind that I REALLY wanted to bake a pie from scratch. But when I started looking up recipes, I realized most of them require tons of ingredients and take two days to make from start to finish... So I gave up on that project real fast. Now, my mind is set on galettes. They've got all my favorite parts of a pie - flaky crust, sweet gooey center - with a little less hard work. These six recipes are at the top of my list to try.
