Based in Los Angeles, Dart Collective is a group of local bands and DJs for hire for parties, weddings, and events of all sorts. They decided to expand to Austin earlier this year and called on me to plan a fun-filled launch party to introduce them to the Austin event industry. I asked some of my favorite vendors in town to help out, and the party turned out even greater than we could have imagined!
Our event space Brew & Brew came with a built-in stage, which was perfect for Dart Collective's band and DJ to play tunes from. We had appetizers from The Peached Tortilla (that were devoured in about five seconds), ice cream sandwiches from Moojo (YUM), and cotton candy from Fancy Fluff (everyone loved the novelty of this!). Desert Door served up cocktails featuring their new tequila / mezcal tasting alcohol called sotol.
Margot Blair brought in the color with floral arrangements and installations, and I created some fun signage out of plywood. Paige Newton snapped photos all night long while Peyton Frank made an awesome video of the event. And of course, people loved taking selfies in Revelry's new photo booth.
