6 Items On My Spring Shopping List

I've been doing a lottt of online shopping recently. I can tell because I've been having to go to my apartment's leasing office almost every day to pick up more and more packages -- oops! I just love spring and summer shopping so much that I can't help myself. Take a peek inside my closet and you'll find tons of sundresses and tank tops, and maybe three sweaters. Thank goodness I live in Austin where sundresses and tank tops are protocol pretty much 90% of the year.

This spring I've been buying items that are super comfortable. No fussy cocktail dresses, no tight waistbands -- just simple, pretty pieces that I can feel good wearing all day long. My closet is shifting towards a more neutral color palette overall, but I still love color (!!!) and try to incorporate it as much as possible, so you'll see a couple rainbow pieces mixed into my shopping list this season. What's on your shopping list for spring? Are you stocking up on basics or buying the trendiest pieces you can find?

"making it up as i go" graphic tee

"Making It Up As I Go" Tee from Chipper Things

I'm absolutely obsessed with this shirt! After stumbling upon it on Instagram, I literally immediately went to the website and placed an order in less than 15 minutes. I love this phrase because every day I seriously feel like I'm just making it up as I go! When I received my shirt in the mail a few days later, Chipper Things sent over a couple cute cards and a thumbs up enamel pin -- how fun is that?!

kelaoke earrings australia

Polymer Clay Earrings from Kelaoke

I'll admit -- I'm not the biggest jewelry girl. I usually stick to my steady stream of dainty earrings and simple rings, but I love these painted clay earrings from Kelaoke! Chunky, abstract statement earrings are having a real moment right now and these ones are like nothing I've ever seen before. Of course they're from Australia (it's like Australia is having a moment right now too!) so hurry up and snag your pair before you see them on everyone you know.

free people matching set

Ready To Go Set from Free People

Ahhh, the matching set. It's how we get away with pretty much wearing pajamas as real clothes. What could be better?! I love how simple and comfortable this set is. It can easily be thrown on with a pair of sneakers or slide sandals. I can see myself wearing this over a swimsuit at the beach or walking around town with my puppy dog Paddington. Luckily for us, it comes in -- not one -- but three colors! Which one do you think you'll go for?

st. agni rattan slides woven slides

Hennie Rattan Slides from St. Agni

Australia strikes again! This time in the form of the coolest slides I've seen all season. Rattan has been filling up my Pinterest feed lately -- from everything to dining chairs to chests of drawers. And now they're telling me that I can actually wear rattan on my person?! Yes, please! I'm dying to get a pair of these before summer starts, but my only concern is that they look a litttttle difficult to break in. What do you guys think?

made well rainbow stripe dress

Courier Shirtdress in Rainbow Stripe from Madewell

This piece of clothing hits on three of my all-time favorite things: Madewell, check! Flowy dress, check! Rainbow color palette, check! I just ordered this number a couple days ago and am practically sitting by the door all day waiting for it to arrive. I love every single one of the Madewell dresses I have so I know this one will be no different. They have such a comfortable fit, soft materials, and I can just throw them in the wash when they're dirty. No dry cleaning required!

j. crew gingham bikini top

Underwire Bikini Top in Oversized Matte Gingham from J. Crew

Black and white gingham is one of my favorite patterns to wear so when I found this bikini top from J. Crew, it immediately went on my spring shopping list. I looove bras that are cut in the "demi" shape -- I find them to be the most flattering on me -- and this swim suit top is cut the exact same way! I'd probably opt to wear the top with a pair of plain black bikini bottoms. I love the mix and match look when it comes to swim wear.

Moon J

I feel like I've been making mood board after mood board for weeks now. Whenever I start a new project, it's the first thing I do. It's such an easy way to get your ideas across to the people you're working with in a visual way. I love sourcing photos online and in magazines and choosing a color palette that sums it all up. Moon J popped up in my Pinterest feed last week and I immediately fell in love with her inspirational clothing designs. Her models look like walking color palettes! I saved SO many photos from her past collections and honestly could not choose a favorite outfit. She's based in South Korea, but I'm dying to find a stockiest that carries her pieces somewhere in the US.
